in the mountains

DJ and I have been in school the past two weeks.  It's been a bit of a adjustment with the schedule change (having to wake up at 5 am in the morning doesn't agree with you when you've been sleeping in the entire summer.)  We are enjoying the change and excited that DJ is in his last semester for his bachelors and I am trying hard to fit in at a BIG girl job (how weird that I have a career.)  Needless to say, this past 3 day weekend was just want we needed.

We love being in the outdoors so we were ecstatic when Papa H called and invited us to go hiking and spend a day at a family cabin of a coworkers of his.  We drove down south and enjoyed laughing and spending time with the Harlan clan.  We finished the weekend off with dinner at the Griffiths.

It was a much needed break and we love our families so much!
