where's waldo?
the search for formal clothes is going better than expected. i've decided that i am not going to look like a penguin for 18 months. no siree! so, to counteract the super boring, all nautral subdued colors, which were suggested to buy, i've purchased a bright fluorescent orange and blue blouse, a tye dye type blouse, and a light blue and white striped one (the majority of the blouses have ruffles so i may be mistaken for a pirate) i also purchased one that i like to call my waldo shirt...in my reality, waldo's stripes go vertical instead of horizontal. hence my shirt is vertical red and white stripes. it actually might work for the fourth of july. god bless america.
all i need to do to complete the outfit is a pair of blue pants, or a skirt in my case, then you would all be able to find me amidst the crazy crowds of Cambodia.
i really love the books where's waldo? who didn't come across those once in their childhood? i refuse to lose my inner child while i am in Asia for 18 months so...i bought my outfit to remind me of my childhood and to keep me smiling when i know i'll be struggling with missing my family, getting washed away in the rain, hopefully not getting typhoid, and wishing i was eating french fries.
chào!
