travel

I must tell you that I love to travel. It's a simple fact that traveling joys my heart. Unfortunately, I haven't been on a trip in a long time, due to the fact that my bank account is depleted. So, instead of traveling I've been going over pictures from my past wonderful vacations.
Reminiscing on old times is almost as good as traveling to a place and as I was looking through my pictures from Asia, I could not help but smile. Here are some pictures from my trip to cheer your heart.

This was the Royal Palace in Phnom Phen, Cambodia

My cousin and I at Angkor Wat, Cambodia; I LOVE YOU CUZ!

Ta Phrom Ruins, Cambodia. Yes, Angelina Jolie did film Tomb Raider here and yes, we did walk on the same ground as her...we felt so privileged.

These crazy awesome ruins that hadn't been excavated and repaired. We walked and hiked around them for hours. It was great!

Now I really want to go on a trip. I'm planning to go on one this summer and I'm deciding between Mount Rushmore, although people tell me this is boring I still want to see it. Seriously, it's four large president's heads carved into a mountain...how could that be lame? The other option is Mesa Verde. My cousin put this thought into my head and it has festered. Other than that I have no other options.

Any suggestions?

I think you should drive like you are going to Verde but rather than go there where there are thousands of people you could go straight through Monticello rather than turn Left towards Colorado and come to Blanding and see Anasazi ruins like at Verde with lots less people and more quality people too ;) yeah I like the way I think!

I am SO jealous of all your traveling right now! Go to Mesa Verde. And take me with you!

Camille! You should totally do a four corners trip and see Mesa Verde and Chaco Canyon. Seriously, Chaco is incredible--just google image it and you'll see what I mean!

I'm going this next weekend with my three oldest to Horseshoe Canyon to see the Great Gallery.

I love Mesa Verde, as long as the massive crowds are not there. Consider also Hovenweep - much more primitive and very cool.

I like Mt. Rushmore - you can see Crazy Horse at the same time, and the Black Hills, and Devil's Tower...
